Richard Wright exhibition extended at the Gagosian
Earlier this year, YGT fabricated and installed a series of three windows for the Turner Prize-winning artist Richard Wright. The exhibition opened at the Gagosian Gallery in Rome on 29th September, and was due to close on 10th November. However, due to its successful reception, the show has been extended and will now remain open to the public until the 18th December.
Combined alongside a selection of works on paper, 'Wright’s installation manipulates the gallery’s natural elements, light and space, in order to bring attention to the unexpected richness of transparency'. Described as 'tranquil and meditative', the multiple textures of mouth blown glass reflect light onto the floor of the gallery, changing with the light throughout the day and bringing the glass to life.
For the final opportunity to see Wright's windows, they can be found at the Gagosian Gallery, Via Francesco Crispi, Rome, until 18th December, 2015.
