The York Glaziers Trust's director Sarah Brown has published her latest book on York Minster's Great East Window, in conjunction with Third Millennium Publishing. After an immense process of careful restoration and conservation, the outstanding artistry of the Great East Window has been revealed afresh through state-of-the-art photography that captures the complete sequence of major panels. The whole window is reproduced for the very first time in this book, and is brought to life by Sarah Brown, who explores its history, artistry, meaning and restoration, revealing new insights on a fragile masterpiece that has been described as England's Sistine Chapel. The beautifully illustrated book presents an engaging contextual analysis of the window's unequivocal position as an English masterpiece. Copies can be purchased directly from York Minster's shop, as well as all major book sellers.
