The York Glaziers Trust employs an in-house photographic team with the expertise to deliver professional images. Whether it is an individual panel, a single window, or a full scheme of windows, we are able to offer photographic surveys at the highest resolution currently available on the market.
Photographic surveys can be combined with condition surveys or can be dedicated purely to the production of a set of digital images. The use of such images may include publication, archive, inventories, interpretation and display, publicity or merchandising.
Our team uses medium-format Hasselblad digital cameras with up to 200 megapixel capture. Hasselblad has been a staple of professional photography for over half a century due to their high specification performance and range of applications, consistently delivering images of the highest calibre. In the studio this is combined with the innovative Swiss Broncolor softbox lighting system, offering near-perfect light diffusion. Broncolour has a global reputation for industry-best flash equipment and colour consistency. This combination of professional photography equipment has allowed us to record remarkable levels of detail even in parts of a window that are relatively inaccessible. We are the only stained glass studio in the UK to currently utilise this cutting-edge technology as part of our standard package of services. Our services also include the processing and labelling of all images, and the provision of digital files in a variety of file formats to suit the client’s needs. A selection of our latest photography work can be found below.
