The Trust have welcomed Tony Robinson and his film crew into the workshop this week for recording for his new series Britain's Great Cathedral's. The cathedrals of Canterbury, Salisbury, Liverpool, York, Winchester and Durham each have an hour long episode dedicated to them, with York Minster featuring in the very first episode.
Read more…After the windows were removed for conservation in 2008, the final panel of the Great East Window of York Minster has now been installed, concluding one of the largest and most significant conservation programmes of recent decades in Europe. The fifteenth-century window is regarded as a monumental medieval masterpiece, and is the work of renowned medieval artist John Thornton.

To coincide with the Trust's anniversary, a revised edition of Sarah Brown's Stained Glass in York Minster has been published by Scala in association with the Dean and Chapter of York Minster.

Read more…On 31 March 2016 the York Glaziers Trust celebrated with all the teams at York Minster the delivery of the York Minster Revealed project, on time and on budget. The YMR project, sponsored by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the York Minster Fund, started in 2011 as a £20 million investment to restore and conserve the stone and glass of the Minster’s majestic East End.

Read more…On 29 May 2014, the Trust hosted a visit by Japanese stained glass artist, conservator, and historian Masato Shida, and photographer Takuji Shimmura. Masato has published widely in Japan on the subject of stained glass and is an expert on French stained glass following many years living and studying there. In a new role, Masato has been commissioned to assist in the development of Japan's first museum of stained glass, which is due to open in 2015 in the city of Kakegawa.
